The month of January opens its doors to a new anniversary of the birth of the National Hero of Cuba José Martí, whose work The Golden Age , dedicated to the little ones, marked a before and after for all children from America.

In this sense, the Provincial Book and Literature Center, the Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda Literary Promotion Center, and the Ácana Publishing House in Camagüey, call for the first edition of the Nuestro José Martí children's literature contest.

Linking experiences with the life and work of Marti in the genres of stories and poetry will be the main requirements of the contest, in which all primary school students will be able to participate.

According to the contest rules, the texts should not exceed one page, handwritten or printed, and will be accompanied by the author's personal data: name, surname, home address, school, grade, age and telephone number.

The deadline for admission of the works expires on January 27 and can be delivered at the headquarters of the Café Literario La Comarca or via email director.acana@pprincipe.cult.cu .

The Severo Sarduy Bookstore Cultural Center, located on Avenida de la Libertad, will be the space agreed to to know the results of the Nuestro José Martí children's literature contest, at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 28. (Claudia Artiles Díaz / Radio Camagüey) (Photo: Radio Reloj)
