Photographic November is the most important event that is annually carried out in November by the Fototeca de Cuba. It is aimed at promoting the work of photographers in Cuba, as well as providing the exchange with their colleagues from other parts of the world, and encouraging professionals and amateurs to assimilate new trends and technologies in their projects.

This 2025 edition is geared towards this latter purpose, related to encouraging professionals and amateurs to assimilate new trends and technologies into their projects.

With more than 200 participants, 74 of them from 17 countries - mostly from Argentina and Brazil - this year's event includes a special invitation, which was extended to photographers from South America.

In addition, some 20 photographers and 14 collective projects from various Cuban provinces were invited to such significant event.

Also for the first time, the Young Talent Award will be given, in recognition of the work being done by the new generation, primarily in the areas of experimental photography and the use of new media.

Five main exhibitions and 12 collateral ones comprise the program for this year's edition. In addition to the exhibitions, the International Colloquium will take place at the Ludwig Foundation in Cuba. The event will also include documentary screenings, the launch of the magazine Lente Cubano, and the celebration of Havana's 506th anniversary.

This 19th edition also pays tribute to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations (UN) and the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Canada.
